Here we will go over the news that has been released officially and what you can probably expect from the new Demon Slayer Season 2 Release Date.

What Happened in Demon Slayer Season One?

The story starts with our main hero Tanjiro Kamado who used to be a regular boy living in the countryside with his family.

One day Tanjiro comes home from a market trip to find his entire family violently murdered.

In this world, there is always the threat of demons that can attack innocent people at any time.

There was one survivor of the massacre, his younger sister Nezuko. The relief is short-lived when Nezuko reveals to be cursed by a demon, making her feral and dangerous to her brother.

Despite this terrible discovery, Tanjiro vows to protect his sister and somehow find a cure for her state.

They are sent off by a demon slater named Giyuu for Tanjiro to train in the way of demon-slaying.

Tanjiro can hone the skills of the Water Breathing style in two years while Nezuko is out into a deep sleep.

Defeating many tough opponents along the way, Tanjiro graduates with four other students.

They are granted the lowest rank of demon slayer and given a blade made from a special ore.

This ore for their Nichirin Blades constantly absorbs sunlight which is the main weakness to demons.

Once uniting with his younger sister after years of training, Tanjiro is called to his first mission.

The Kamado siblings are sent to a town where a demon has been stealing young women.

They help clear the name of a man who was falsely accused of the crimes and find the true kidnapper, swamp demons.

Tanjiro and his sister defeat the demons together keeping one alive to interrogate it for information.

The demons follow the lead of Muzan Kibutsuji a powerful demon that can change humans into demons.

Muzan was responsible for the Kamado massacre and Nezuko’s possession.

After accomplishing this mission, they are soon sent to another in the big city of Tokyo.

An awestruck Tanjiro is soon brought back to reality by running in the man responsible for the tragedy in his life, Muzan.

Sensing his cover has been blown, Muzan quickly turns a man into a demon and uses that as a distraction to escape.

Tanjiro is helped by a pair of demons in human form that also seeks to destroy Muzan.

While trying to come up with a cure for Nezuko’s curse, they are interrupted by ap air of Muzan’s assassins who claim to be part of the Twelve Kizuki.

Tanjiro can defeat one on his own but suffers from exhaustion, Nezuko with help from Yushiro and Tamayo ignites a curse in the last demon killing it.

On the way to his new mission location, the siblings run into Zenitsu another graduate from the final Selection.

The boy is a bit of a coward but the two take on a side mission of protecting two young boys while searching for their lost older brother.

At the mysterious house that is owned by a demon and where the missing brother might be, Zenitsu and Tanjiro meet another graduate who wears a boar mask in his head, Inosuke.

All three demon slayers put up great fights that push them to the limits but come out as the winners.

There is tension between them as Inosuke and Zenitsu are at odds about traveling with the demon Nezuko.

Things are settled with a brawl between Tanjiro and Inosuke, but there is still a wariness in the air.

The trio is then sent on a joint mission to the Natagumo Mountain that is running rampant with spider demons.

While the three do their best to avoid fatal wounds, they fight a family of spider demons before coming across the creator of the clan.

Giyuu, the demon slayer who sent the Kamados off, arrives on the mountain along with another from the Hashira. The two save our heroes from the worst of the spider clan.

There is no time to rest as Tanjiro is taken in for harboring his demonic sister. They are taken to the headquarters of the Demon Slayer Corps.

Sakonji, the master who taught all three slayers, sends a letter to the Hashira leader to pardon the siblings and explain their situation to the council.

Although the council initially refuses, their minds change when they witness Nezuko behaving, unlike any other demon.

Once the trial is concluded, the siblings are reunited with Zenitsu and Inosuke and given time to heal their wounds.

The three young slayers are put in Rehabilitation Training to build their strength and stamina back up.

In time they are all able to use Total Concentration: Constant, the ability to use their individual Breathing Techniques all day.

In the shadows, Muzan continues his plans to take down the Demon slayer Corps.

The last arc of the animation is covered by the movie Demon Slayer: The Movie – Mugen Train.

This movie sees our heroes join the Flame Hashira Kyojuro Hengoku on an infinity train in the west.

They hope to get information on the Hinokami Kagura, a fire technique mastered by the Kamado clan.

While on this mission Muzan has sent another assassin named Emnu who can manipulate dreams. Once Emnu’s plan to destroy the team fails a higher-up assassin, Akaza appears.

This demon fatally wounds Kyojuro and seriously wounds Tanjiro, but Akaza flees before the sun fully rises.

That is where the animation ends while the manga has continued with the story.

What to Expect from Demon Slayer Season 2 Release Date?

What to Expect from Demon Slayer Season 2

Many anticipate that the newest season will adapt the Yukaku or Entertainment District arc of the manga since it will be a direct sequel to the Demon Slayer movie.

This arc has our main heroes, along with some newcomers such as Tengen, going on a mission to Yoshiwara.

They are there to help Tengen find his missing wives. They went missing while investigating some rumors of demons in the city, so we can be sure that new enemies are lurking in the dark.

Those who have already read ahead in the manga know that some surprising developments happen to our main heroes.

We can expect to see them mature as slayers while becoming stronger.

The anime has stayed close to the manga plot-wise so we can assume that the plot for the new season will not stray far from the text.

The trailer that was released by the official Twitter account shows our team rushing to handle the demons in the Yoshiwara Red-Light District and some traitors hiding amongst the innocent masses.

Things seem to be getting a little tougher as our heroes go on.
